  • Author: Janet
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 1 burrito 1x

Description

Learn how to cook a frozen burrito in the oven at the perfect temperature and time for a hot center and lightly crispy tortilla. This easy oven method works for bean, beef, chicken, and El Monterey frozen burritos.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 frozen burrito (bean, beef, chicken, or cheese)
  • Aluminum foil (optional)
  • Cooking spray or oil (optional, for crisping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  3. Place the frozen burrito seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  4. Loosely cover the burrito with aluminum foil.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil.
  6. Continue baking uncovered for 10–15 minutes, until heated through.
  7. For extra crispiness, move the burrito to the upper rack for the last 3 minutes.
  8. Let rest for 1–2 minutes before serving.

Notes

Do not thaw the burrito before baking. For larger or thicker burritos, add 3–5 minutes to the cooking time. To prevent sogginess, always finish baking uncovered. This method works well for El Monterey frozen burritos.
