LMNT Salt Recipe: Homemade Electrolyte Drink for Natural Hydration

  • Author: Janet
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings (about 500 ml each) 1x

Description

A naturally hydrating homemade LMNT-style electrolyte drink that’s sugar-free, keto-friendly, and packed with essential minerals for optimal energy and hydration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (500 ml) cold filtered water
  • ¼ teaspoon Himalayan pink salt (or sea salt)
  • ⅛ teaspoon cream of tartar (for potassium)
  • ⅛ teaspoon magnesium citrate (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
  • 12 drops stevia or ½ teaspoon raw honey (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Lemon slice or mint leaf for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine minerals: In a glass or shaker bottle, add Himalayan salt, cream of tartar, and magnesium citrate.
  2. Add water: Pour in the cold filtered water and stir until the minerals dissolve completely.
  3. Flavor naturally: Add lemon or lime juice for flavor and vitamin C.
  4. Sweeten (optional): Mix in stevia or honey to taste.
  5. Serve cold: Add ice cubes, garnish with lemon slices or mint, and enjoy your refreshing homemade LMNT Salt drink.

Notes

For a sparkling version, replace still water with sparkling mineral water. Adjust salt levels based on taste or activity level. Try orange juice for a citrus twist, or unsweetened cocoa powder for a cozy chocolate salt flavor. Keep refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Shake well before drinking.
