Description
A simple DIY detox tea inspired by Lulutox — made with green tea, ginger, dandelion root, and peppermint. Only $0.20 per cup. Supports digestion, reduces bloating, and tastes great.
Ingredients
1 green tea bag (sencha or matcha)
1 slice fresh ginger (½ inch thick)
1 teaspoon dried dandelion root
1 teaspoon dried peppermint leaves
1 thin slice of lemon
½ teaspoon raw honey or stevia (optional)
8 oz (240 ml) hot water
Instructions
- Boil 8 oz of water. Let it cool for 1 minute to about 175°F (80°C).
- Place the green tea bag, ginger slice, dandelion root, and peppermint in a mug.
- Pour the hot water over all the ingredients.
- Steep for 5-7 minutes. Longer steeping gives a stronger detox effect.
- Remove the tea bag and strain out the loose ingredients.
- Add a fresh lemon slice and honey or stevia if desired.
- Drink warm in the morning or early afternoon for best results.
Notes
For weekly meal prep, combine 7 tea bags + ginger + dandelion + peppermint in a jar. Use 1 scoop + 1 tea bag per day. Store loose ingredients in an airtight container for up to 1 month. Avoid drinking after 3 PM — the green tea contains caffeine that may affect sleep. If you don’t have dandelion root, substitute with extra peppermint or lemongrass.
