Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 23 whole cloves
  • 1 small slice fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1 small cinnamon stick (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Add 2–3 whole cloves to the hot water.
  3. Reduce the heat and let the cloves simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  4. Turn off the heat and allow the tea to steep for another 5 minutes.
  5. Strain the tea into a cup.
  6. Add honey, ginger, or cinnamon if desired.
  7. Drink warm and enjoy.
