Pale orange creamsicle jello shots in small cups with optional whipped cream and orange garnish

Orange Creamsicle Jello Shots

  • Author: YumaRecipes
  • Total Time: 4 hours 30 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 16 servings 1x

Description

Alcohol-free orange-vanilla gelatin cups made with orange gelatin mix, heavy cream and alcohol-free vanilla powder.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (3 oz / 85 g) regular orange gelatin dessert mix, intended to make about 2 cups
  • 1 cup boiling water (240 mL)
  • 1/2 cup cold water (120 mL)
  • 1/2 cup plain heavy whipping cream (120 mL)
  • 1/4 teaspoon alcohol-free vanilla powder, or less according to product strength

Instructions

  1. Arrange sixteen small food-safe cups on a refrigerator-safe tray. Use a heatproof bowl for mixing.
  2. Add the orange gelatin mix to the bowl. Stir in 1 cup boiling water for about 2 minutes, until completely dissolved.
  3. Stir in 1/2 cup cold water. Cool for about 15 minutes, until no longer hot or steaming but still completely liquid.
  4. Stir the vanilla powder into the cream. Slowly and gently whisk the cream into the cooled liquid gelatin until evenly combined.
  5. Pour about 2 tablespoons into each cup, leaving headroom. Check container temperature limits before filling.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set. Cover once set.
  7. Serve cold with spoons. Add optional whipped cream and a tiny orange garnish just before serving.

Notes

Use a regular 3 oz mix whose standard water-only directions make about 2 cups. This is a creamy adaptation, not package preparation or a kitchen-tested formulation. Keep the mixture liquid when adding cream; cooling and setting times vary. Optional garnishes are not included in the five base ingredient entries. Do not substitute conventional alcohol-based vanilla extract for the specified alcohol-free powder. Milk and dairy-free alternatives are not tested one-for-one substitutions. Yield is approximate. Refrigerate at 40°F or below, use within 3 days or any shorter ingredient-label guidance, and limit time outside refrigeration to 2 hours, or 1 hour above 90°F.
